SPLIT programme lays foundations for expansion as part of World Physiotherapy Day

As part of the celebrations for World Physiotherapy Day (8 September), which this year focuses on lumbago (low back pain) and the role of physiotherapy in its assessment and treatment, the Order of Physiotherapists, in partnership with the School of Health of the Setúbal Polytechnic Institute, is starting to expand the SPLIT Programme, which is aligned with the Directorate-General for Health's National Health Plan 2030.

Intervention of the President of the Portuguese Bar Association on Physiotherapy in Mental Health

The President of the Portuguese Institute of Physiotherapists considers that "(...) despite the legislative measures, the responses implemented are still insufficient, with remarkable geographical asymmetries and there is a clear lack of health professionals integrated in the mental health teams, as well as an omission of the inclusion of physiotherapists in these teams".
