As part of the presentation of the government programme, the Order of Physiotherapists met yesterday with the Minister of Health in a sequence of individual meetings involving the Professional Orders.

On 26 March, António Lopes, President of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists, took part as a guest in the conference "A Grande Idade em Discussão", organised by the Associação Amigos da Grande Idade and the Escola Superior de Saúde da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa.

On 26 March, the 4th CNS CONGRESS was held, dedicated to the theme "Neurological Diseases: Caring at home and in the community".

The SPLS Inauguration Ceremony was held on 26 March, and was also marked by the event "Health Literacy and the Global Humanitarian Crisis" in Lisbon.

A working group was set up with representatives of the health professions organisations to monitor the initiatives of the Ministry of Health's Shared Services within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The Order's Studies and Planning Office (GEP) took office on 29 March, created in accordance with the Plan of Activities approved by the General Council.

In order to fully clarify and publicise the position of the Order of Physiotherapists in the face of the escalating conflict in Ukraine, and in order to better provide the necessary help, the Board of Directors has set up a working team, as part of the so-called Technical Evaluation Commission, to assess, on a case-by-case basis, requests from physiotherapists coming from Ukraine under the support that Portugal grants to refugees from that country.

On 9 March 2022, the Portuguese Order of Physiotherapists attended the inauguration of the Physical and Functional Assessment Laboratory in Physiotherapy - LAFFFI at Egas Moniz Cooperativa de Ensino Superior.
